On behalf of the Fenland Working Newfoundlands I would like to thank The Newfoundland Club for their participation.
The weather was fine until after lunch when there were some snow flurries.
All in all a good turnout.
Draught Level Beginners

We had 8 beginners entries today at this lovely venue. The test was run in sleet and snow which didn't seem to bother the dogs and all 8 dogs were successful. Some of the younger dogs were a little stressed by the log so and may benefit from switching to the cart which is less noisy and bumpy. We saw some very nice heal work by some teams, and several teams achieved passes where the handlers worked dogs that were not their own. No one was suitable to progress to level one today but I am sure they will soon be at that level.

We had 4 entries on the day, with 2 lovely passes.
The weather wasn't very kind to us, with snow. however, this did not affect the test in any way .

A lovely new venue with plenty of room for control rings and different haul challenges.
Thank you to the Newfoundland Club for inviting us to judge and to the Fenland Working Newfoundlands for being such good host.
We tested 6 dogs today with two passes, Unfortunately the others failed in the down stay due to distractions and had insufficient reset points to be able to continue.
we are confident that those dogs will pass in the future.

We had five dogs, but only two got through to the haul, only one one passing all three elements. There is some work to do with a couple to master the control, Well done to all entrants though.
Thank you Fenland Working Newfoundlands for hosting the tests and for the hospitality, but not for the cold weather.
