The Newfoundland Club
Recognising the achievements of Newfoundlands in Working Tests
Manager: Mrs Julie Payton Toggle Report
This venue was an ideal location with plenty of area for dogs and handlers. The weather was fair and the water with a strong wind blowing across the test area showed how well the handlers and dogs could cope with the conditions
An ideal location with the Rother Valley training group and Fenland working group to put the tests on and equally welcoming hospitality

Firstly Thank you to the Newfoundland Club for inviting me to judge, Thank you to the organiser.
A good day was had by all in not so such good weather and tricky situation.
8 dogs in total entered A test with all passing except one who ran out of time.
It was nice to see new owners and dogs
All dogs did exceptionally well and there was some very good passes and made it look easy.
Looking forward to seeing all the dogs and owners progress in the future
Well Done
An extra challenge for the entrants today with a strong wind blowing across the test area, but handlers and dogs all coped well with the conditions.
Eight entries on the day with seven good passes and just one team loosing out on time although they completed all the elements.
A good start for everyone and plenty of enthusiasm from dogs and handlers.

Water Section B
Judges: Mr Dave Pugsley & Mrs Lynn Whiting Toggle Report
Nine entries for the test with eight passes in fairly challenging conditions.
All the teams performed well with good co-ordination between dogs and handlers and nice to see dogs responding to commands.
The underwater retrieve was particularly good with many dogs achieving it on their first attempt.
The swim proved more difficult due in part to a strong cross wind but the recovery worked well in most cases.
Thanks to the stewards and test manager for a very successful day.
8 passed out of 9 entries.
