Recognising the achievements of Newfoundlands in Working Tests
Parc Bryn Bach was once again the venue for this draught event (hosted by the Welsh Newfoundland Activity Group (WNAG)).
We had a total of 12 entries across the 3 levels and I thank everyone who came along and supported us - particular thanks to our judges who travelled far and wide to support this event, without whom we would not be able to put the event on.
The weather was kinder to us today and stayed dry - although it was rather cold, murky and misty, everyone seemed to enjoy.
the dogs, as usual were entertaining and worked really hard with their handlers
we had 4 x Beginners passed, 5 x Level 2 passed and unfortunately the 3 teams entered at Level 4 didn't quite make it today; but I thank everyone who made this and will get there really soon.
Thank you for inviting us to judge,
very inclement conditions with poor visibility - typical Bryn Bach. Three lovely passes and a fourth pass that clearly was trying very hard and will benefit from more practice and exposure to the test environment.
4 passed out of 4 entries.
We tested 5 teams in misty weather. All the teams passed. The haul was challenging and slippery under foot. thank you to my co judge Pete and to the Newfoundland Club for asking us to judge. also thank you to WNAG for keeping us fed and watered.
5 passed out of 5 entries.
Although I don't like writing about the weather, on this occasion I will. it was cold, damp and foggy, so whether this had anything to do with the team not working as well as normal.
Only one team got through to the haul, but unfortunately had too many tight lead faults so did not pass this time.
We know this team can do better and look forward to see this soon
thank you to the Newfoundland Club for inviting us to judge and to WNAG for their hospitality.
